Firstly, we at Cobalt would like to acknowledge that we exist on the shared traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Munsee Lenape, and their ancestors. These lands and waterways connect to the vast traditional areas of the Haudenosaunee, Esopus Lenape, Munsee Lenape/Monsiyok, and Mohican/Muhhekunneuw Peoples. We are deeply are grateful for the opportunity to be here and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land before us, as well as it’s stewards and elders, past and present.
Cobalt Studios is a place like no other. Tucked away on 28 acre’s of farmland and forest, this serene Scenic Artists’ Haven has become a beloved home away from home for many professional and aspiring Scenic Artists. Our daily activities ebb and flow with the change of the seasons. You might enjoy a breezy nap in the hammock, a lively backyard barbeque, or a cozy night in by the fire. Some evenings and weekends are festive and jampacked with fun! Others are slow moving, quiet, and reflective. There is a place and time for all types at Cobalt Studios, where we collectively share one important attribute, we love and respect each other and the craft of Scenic Painting.
Below you will find a small sampling of what the Cobalt Studios Experience has to offer. We hope you will join us and make some memories of your own!
