Successor to Rachel Keebler
Terra Writz is thrilled to be returning to Cobalt Studios as successor to Rachel Keebler. A dedicated scenic from the age of 15, Terra has been working backstage and painting scenery since before she knew it was a career! She discovered scenic painting as a career path in college at Bowling Green State University, earning a degree in Theatre Design & Technology with a Specialization in Scenic Painting. After graduating from the 2 year Scenic Artist’s Training Program (Class of ’17), Terra has experienced so much of what a career in scenic painting has to offer. With a passion for adventure and love of variety, she has worked all over the country in myriad scenic capacities since leaving Cobalt. Painting and charging summer stock shows at The Black Hills Playhouse in South Dakota, working in regional theatre at South Coast Repertory in California, and painting for Tuacahn Center for the Arts’ outdoor amphitheater in Utah. During the pandemic she dabbled in mural painting and found work as a Painting Instructor / Bartender at Pinot’s Pallet until she fully transitioned into non-union film production in Los Angeles in 2021. There she worked on films, tv shows, commercials, music videos, corporate pop-ups, music festivals, and other live events. When she isn’t slinging paint, Terra enjoys the company of her trusty sidekick Sunny, long walks in the woods, a fresh cup of tea, and cuddling up with a favorite show.
