Located two hours northwest of NYC, our 125′ x 38′ paint deck is ready to be at your service. If your project cannot be painted in our studio, we can send a crew to your location. Cobalt Studios has a variety of training opportunities to artists at all levels of experience. The 2-year Scenic Artists Training Program curriculum includes all Specialty Pro Seminars and is designed to build your skills as a scenic artist from the ground up. Summer Sessions include Teachers Training, created to bolster a theatre educator’s painting repertoire with techniques they can pass on to their students, and the ever-popular Summer Scene Painting; a 3-week scenic painting gauntlet filled with exciting projects, useful techniques, and lots of slinging paint! Additionally, we offer the Month at Cobalt immersion program and Advanced Independent Study, where you work with us to design your own specialized training on a timeline that fits your schedule.
